U Novom Vinodolskom taksist izgubio dvije kartice od bankomata-i tako smo postali prijatelji!

Dogodi se svakome da nešto izgubi, ali ova priča je posebna jer se radi o – taksistu. U Novom Vinodolskom malo se zna o postojanju taksija, iako postoje čak dva do tri parkirna mjesta rezervirana za njih. Nažalost, bez ikakvog istaknutog telefonskog broja ili kontakta – što bi itekako pomoglo domaćima i turistima. Jedna jednostavna tabla s brojem taksista u blizini centra grada bila bi od velike koristi.
Sličan
problem nije samo u Novom. U mnogim hrvatskim gradovima slabo su označene ili
potpuno neobilježene službe od velike važnosti: hitna pomoć, vatrogasci,
dežurni liječnici, aerodromske usluge, bolnice, pa čak i taxi stajališta. U
modernim europskim gradovima to je standard – sve jasno, veliko i dostupno. Kod
nas se, nažalost, često čuje opravdanje da je “sve dobro” i da “ništa ne treba
mijenjati”. A upravo bi bolja organizacija i vidljivost pomogli razvoju turizma
i kvaliteti života lokalnog stanovništva.
Posebno je
važna usluga taksija našim iseljenicima iz dijaspore. Oni često dolaze avionom,
moraju stići do bolnice u Rijeci ili uhvatiti let iz Pule – a bez pouzdanog
taksija u ranim jutarnjim satima to zna biti nemoguće. Zato je važno
znati kome se obratiti i gdje pronaći broj.
Kako smo mi otkrili da Novi ima
taksista
Jedne
večeri, vraćajući se sa suprugom s glavnog kupališta, pronašli smo na
parkiralištu dvije izgubljene bankovne kartice. Na jednoj je bilo i ime
vlasnika. Bio je petak navečer i pitali smo se kako ih što prije predati
vlasniku – da kartice dođu sigurno u njegove ruke.
Prisjetio
sam se Facebooka. Potražio sam ime i prezime, ali nismo bili povezani kao
prijatelji, pa mu nisam mogao poslati poruku. No, preko zajedničkog poznanika,
gospodina Jovanovića, ugostitelja poznatog u Novom Vinodolskom i okolici,
saznao sam kome kartice pripadaju.
Iznenađenje
– vlasnik je bio Josip Lišić, novljanski taksist! Tako smo se upoznali,
povezali na Facebooku, a on je zahvaljujući našoj pomoći brzo dobio svoje
izgubljene kartice natrag.
Zaključak
Da nije bilo
tih izgubljenih kartica, možda nikada ne bismo saznali da Novi ima taksistu.
Ova mala zgoda podsjetila nas je koliko je važno imati jasno označene kontaktne
podatke i dostupne usluge, pogotovo u turističkim mjestima. Na kraju su svi
bili zadovoljni – taksist je dobio kartice, a mi smo stekli novog prijatelja.

VINODOLSKI A TAXI DRIVER LOST TWO BANK CARDS – AND THAT’S HOW WE BECAME
FRIENDS!
It can happen to anyone – losing something important – but this story is special because it involved a taxi driver. In Novi Vinodolski, few people even know that taxis exist, although there are two designated parking spots for them. Unfortunately, there are no visible signs or phone numbers displayed – something that would be very helpful for both locals and tourists. A simple sign with a taxi phone number in the town center would make a huge difference.
This is not only an issue in Novi Vinodolski. Across
many Croatian towns, important services such as emergency medical care, fire
brigades, duty doctors, airports, hospitals, and yes – taxis – are poorly marked,
sometimes not marked at all, or written in very small letters. In contrast, in
modern European cities, these services are clearly visible and accessible.
Better organization and visibility would greatly improve tourism and everyday
life for local residents.
Taxi services are especially important for our
diaspora and visitors from abroad. Many rely on taxis to reach hospitals in
Rijeka or to catch flights from Pula, sometimes in the early morning hours.
Without reliable taxi services, this can become impossible. That is why it is
essential to know exactly where to find a taxi and how to call one.
How We Found Out There Is a Taxi in Novi
One evening, on our way home from the main beach, my
wife and I found two bank cards on the parking lot. On one of them, the owner’s
name was clearly written. Since it was Friday evening, we were concerned about
how to return them quickly and safely.
I decided to try Facebook. I looked up the name, but
we were not connected as friends, so I couldn’t send a direct message. Instead,
I searched for mutual contacts and found Mr. Jovanović, a well-known local
caterer and event organizer. Through him, I discovered who the owner was.
To my surprise – the owner was Josip Lišić, the local
taxi driver! Thanks to Facebook and a bit of help from friends, the cards were
returned quickly and safely.
Conclusion
Had it not been for those lost cards, we might never
have discovered that Novi Vinodolski has a taxi service. This small story
reminded us how important it is to have clearly marked services, especially in
tourist towns. In the end, everyone was happy – the taxi driver got his cards
back, we made a new friend, and the experience turned into a positive lesson
for the whole community.
